Although awards and trophies are mostly awarded during competition, booster clubs play an important role in recognition. Recognition is a key component in building self-worth.  The self-confidence that develops boosts children and young adults into contributing and valuing themselves into adulthood.  Recognizing the efforts and sacrifices is an important role played by parents and booster club members.

Whether it’s a sign in the stands, a decorated locker, a personalized Christmas ornament, or a recognition award at the end of the year, make sure your booster club doesn’t forget this key component.

And, while you are passing out awards or trophies, make sure your booster club doesn’t forget the coach, director, sponsor, or teacher.  They deserve it!
